Pregnancy Back/Shoulder Pain/Ache

Good afternoon, I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and for the past week and bit I have been having pain in my right upper back/shoulder that is starting to become really uncomfortable especially working (I work in a office 3 days a week and 2 from home). I Have been treating this with hot water bottles, ice packs, tens machine and paracetamol. I have found that when taking the paracetamol this is not working what’s so ever. This discomfort/pain is really starting to get to me especially affecting when I am in the office for work. I have spoken to midwifes who cannot do anything and have phoned 111 who suggested to only carry on taking paracetamol. The pain/discomfort is starting to wake me up at night and is really getting me down especially finding it difficult being pregnant and dealing with this. Is this something you can help with? I am currently running out of options who to ask for help apart from everyone telling me to take paracetamol which isn’t working in the slightest. Thank you.

Hello,

You’ve probably got a rib and/or muscle issue there possibly being exacerbated by the Relaxin that you are now circulating.  We should be able to help you with the issue.

If you give reception a ring on 02083015859 they will be able to book you your initial appointment.
