Lower back ache

Hello Kris I have a lengthy history of lower back ache and have had. varied treatment over the years which have not really got rid of it – but at the same time, it has not got any worse. I have a suspected nerve sheath tumour which has never changed. I used to suffer from sciatica but have not, since, weirdly, being diagnosed with meralgia paresthetica which comes and goes but began as a pinpoint numbness in my right thigh to a, now, larger area of numbness. My back aches worse in the morning when getting out of bed or after a lengthy period of inactivity. More recently, (last 3 days) I have experienced the occasional ‘sharp stabbing pain’ in my outer right hip with occasional sensation in my lower groin area and sometimes right ankle. Is this something a chiropractor might be able to shine some light on? Thanks.

Hi,

You’ve got a decent collection of aches, pains and embuggerences there!

Yes, some/ all of those should be treatable by chiropractic.

My other thought is the meralgia paraesthetica could be an early sign of type 2 diabetes. Probably worth getting that checked as well.

If you ring reception on 02083015859 they can book you in either for a full new patient consultation or for just an initial a ‘free chat’ with me.

  1. Hello Kris.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I’ll book a first visit with you.

Indeed I DO have type 2 diabetes. Never thought they were connected. My blood score has just reduced from 53 to 49 over the past 3 months since being prescribed Merformin.
